Dr Rado is a Chartered Clinical Psychologist and founded Psychologia Ltd. in 2011 with the aim of providing specialist neuropsychology services to people with brain injury and their families. Since she completed her doctoral studies in Clinical Psychology in 1999, Dr Rado has enjoyed working across many NHS hospitals and community settings as well as hospitals in the private sector, providing neuropsychological rehabilitation to clients with brain injuries.

Dr Rado has a  background in neuroscience having completed a PhD in psychopharmacology before training to become a Clinical Psychologist. She is particularly interested in developing innovative ways of working and translating theory into practice to help people with brain injury make the best possible recovery.

Dr Mawbey is a Chartered Consultant Clinical Neuropsychologist and Clinical Director of Psychologia Ltd. She holds a First Class Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology, a Masters degree in Clinical and Cognitive Neuropsychology and Neuroscience, a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology, a Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Neuropsychology with Distinction and is currently undertaking the Qualification in Clinical Neuropsychology. 

Dr Mawbey has worked across acute, inpatient and outpatient settings, but enjoys working in the community to support clients with neurological conditions and brain injuries in their day-to-day lives. She has a particular interest in applying neuropsychological assessment findings to support clients to understand their injuries from a cognitive and emotional perspective and to develop bespoke, patient-centred rehabilitation interventions that empower clients to adjust to their brain injury and regain a sense of control and meaning in their lives.

Dr Mawbey is a trained Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioural Therapist and is interested in working with clients with comorbid PTSD alongside traumatic brain injury.

Dr Mawbey has specialist interests in concussion management and supporting clients who experience acquired head injuries, post-concussion syndrome and long-term difficulties associated with repeated head-injury.

Dr Mawbey enjoys teaching and holds honorary and substantive associate lecturer roles teaching on neuropsychology and neurorehabilitation and dysexecutive syndrome to doctoral candidates at the University of Surrey, Head Injury in Sports at St George's Medical School and Sports Neuropsychology: Concussion and mTBI at the Salomans Institute for Applied Psychology at Canterbury Christ Church University.

Dr Broyd is a Chartered Consultant Clinical Neuropsychologist with expertise in diagnostic assessment, neurorehabilitation and support for patients with wide-ranging neuropsychological presentations and their families. She gained a distinction for the post-doctoral Qualification in Clinical Neuropsychology (QiCN) and is on the Specialist Register of Clinical Neuropsychologists (SCRN). She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Experimental Psychology (University of Bristol), a Masters degree with distinction in Mental Health (the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology, and Neuroscience, King’s College London), a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (University of East London), and a Masters degree with distinction in Clinical Neuropsychology (University of Bristol).

 

Dr Broyd has worked across inpatient, outpatient and community settings both within the NHS and in the private sector. She is passionate about working with people with neurological conditions and their families, ensuring that approaches are compassionate, holistic, meaningful, person-centered and values-driven. She draws on an eclectic range of evidence-based modalities, including systemic, narrative, positive psychology, mindfulness-based, compassion-focused and acceptance and commitment therapy approaches.

 

Dr Broyd has led the development and implementation of a clinic for contact sport athletes with concussion and brain injuries. She has also developed multi-disciplinary long-covid assessment and intervention clinics. She helped develop the encephalitis pathway and provided neuropsychological expertise in the multi-disciplinary Brain Injury Clinic at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, Queen Square.

 

Dr Broyd enjoys carrying out clinical academic research and has published peer-reviewed papers in fields including cognition, decision making, wellbeing, multiple sclerosis, psychosis, and obsessive-compulsive disorder. She has undertaken further expert witness and medicolegal training through Bond Solon and provides high-quality expert reports in civil cases, particularly in the areas of brain injury and psychological distress.

Dr Carter-Allison is a Clinical Psychologist who has worked within clinical neuropsychology since completing her doctorate in 2015. Over this time she has worked across a range of inpatient and outpatient settings, focusing on delivering personalised and creative rehabilitation programmes to support people in their recovery and management of neurological disorders. Her work has included roles within highly specialist rehabilitation services for both neurobehavioural and functional neurological disorders, which remain areas of specific interest to her.

Dr Carter-Allison has also remained active in research and teaching, presenting a number of posters at conferences and delivering teaching on neuropsychology and neurorehabilitation at St George’s Medical School.

Dr Tina Siobhan Cohen is a Chartered Associate Member of the British Psychological Society and a Fellow of Advance Higher Education. Dr Cohen has held the position of Senior Teaching Fellow in the Clinical Psychology Doctoral Programme at Surrey University and is currently an Associate Tutor, actively involved in supervision and research through that institution. Dr Cohen is also a member of The Neuropsychoanalysis Association and the Compassionate Mind Foundation. Dr Cohen is an alumni of The London School of Economics, the University of East London, Surrey University and Canterbury Christ Church University.

 

Dr Cohen has experience in neuropsychology in acute, post-acute and community neurorehabilitation services working with clients with a variety of presentations including traumatic brain injury, stroke, spinal cord injuries, dementia and multiple sclerosis. Dr Cohen previously worked as a Clinical Psychologist at the Royal Hospital for Neurodisability. She found working with people in prolonged disorders of consciousness and alongside their families rewarding and humbling – this is an area of continued interest.

 

Dr Cohen has provided neuropsychological assessment and treatment for Headway East London and held the position of Lead Psychologist in an inpatient neurorehabilitation Level 2B service. More recently, Dr Cohen has provided neuropsychological assessment to those with long-covid and continues to provide input into NHS outpatient neurology services. Dr Cohen also provides neuropsychological intervention to a neurological care home. She uses an eclectic mix of treatments and modalities in neurorehabilitation and has completed post-doctoral studies in neuropsychology.

 

Dr Cohen is a compassionate therapist who draws on a varied cultural heritage. She is particularly interested in supporting individuals and families to find new meaning after traumatic brain injury. She is committed to supporting multidisciplinary teams to understand how neuropsychological formulation can support clients and their loved one to live according to their values.

Dr Mayhew is a Chartered Principal Clinical Psychologist specialising in Clinical Neuropsychology. He holds a PhD in Addiction Neuropsychology (Goldsmiths College, University of London), a Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology (the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology, and Neuroscience, King’s College London), and a Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Neuropsychology (University of Glasgow). Dr Mayhew is due to complete the Post-graduate Certificate in Clinical Neuropsychology Practice in summer 2024 (the University of Bristol). He is a Chartered Member of the British Psychological Society.

 

Dr Mayhew has worked across outpatient and inpatient acute and rehabilitation settings, providing clinical neuropsychology input and consultation to help both patients and multi-disciplinary teams to better understand and mitigate the impact of cognitive and emotional difficulties. Dr Mayhew has extensive experience in neuropsychological assessment, across neurological conditions and levels of severity. He has particular expertise in deriving reliable cognitive profiles that provide the foundation upon which personalised cognitive and broader rehabilitation can be based, using thoughtful and innovative approaches to facilitate recovery.

 

In addition to his clinical work, Dr Mayhew also has a strong, ongoing interest in clinical research, and has disseminated his work via peer-reviewed journals and oral and poster conference presentations. He has been the recipient of a number of academic and research awards, including an award for academic excellence in the final year of his undergraduate Psychology studies, and was the recipient of a competitive 1 + 3 joint multi-disciplinary studentship from the UK Economic and Social Research (ESRC) and Medical Research (MRC) Councils, to complete his MSc and PhD studies. As part of his PhD research, Dr Mayhew developed and published a scale to index fluctuations in state impulsivity (Mayhew and Powell, 2014), which can be used to measure aspects of rehabilitation progress.

Highly Specialist Clinical Neuropsychologist

Dr Pounds is a Highly Specialist Clinical Neuropsychologist who has highly specialist experience in clinical neuropsychology, having worked at The National Hospital of Neurology and Neurosurgery, Hurstwood Park Neurological Centre and Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. She holds a Distinction in a Master's degree in Neuroscience and completed a Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology at Royal Holloway, University of London. Dr Pounds provides a holistic approach to neurorehabilitation and psychological intervention, with a focus on compassionate approaches to support clients and families. 

 

Dr Pounds has worked across various specialist clinics including neurosurgery, traumatic brain injury, HIV dementia and stroke. She also has specialist experience in working with neurodevelopmental disorders, older adults and eating disorders. 

 

Aside from this, she has helped to develop a mobile application alongside NHS doctors to support the general population with their cognitive and emotional wellbeing. Dr Pounds is interested in research and development, with her Doctoral research investigating Alzheimer's disease in Down syndrome.  She has also supported colleagues with research looking at "brain fog" and new ways of assessing for depression.
