Dr Murphy is a Principal Clinical Neuropsychologist who holds a First Class Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology, with Honours, from the University of Hertfordshire. She went on to complete a Master of Science degree in Research Methods in Clinical Neuropsychology, receiving a Distinction award, and a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology, from Oxford University. Dr Murphy is currently undertaking the Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Neuropsychology at the University of Bristol.
Dr Murphy is an experienced Clinical Neuropsychologist and has spent her career supporting clients with neurological conditions and acquired brain injuries in community-based and vocational rehabilitation settings to achieve their goals, through person-centred, adapted and tailored psychological interventions.
Dr Murphy has specialist interests in working with clients to provide assessment and support in the context of vocational rehabilitation and returning to work and education following traumatic brain injury. She has worked for several years in the Buckinghamshire Specialist Vocational Rehabilitation Team and Community Head Injury Services, specialising in neuropsychological assessment, neurorehabilitation and psychological therapy for clients with traumatic brain injuries.
Dr Murphy enjoys teaching in addition to her clinical work, and has most recently delivered teaching to doctoral trainee clinical psychologists at Oxford University on head injury and acquired brain injuries and neurological conditions.
