Welcome to Psychologia

Whether you are a client, a family member, a case manager, a solicitor, an insurer or a fellow healthcare professional, we are delighted to have you here.
At Psychologia, we believe that neurological changes, whether from a sudden injury or a long-term condition, affect more than just "the brain." They affect a person’s identity, their relationships, and their place in the world.
As we launch this blog, we wanted to take a moment to introduce who we are, how we work, and the specialist services we offer.
Who We Are
Psychologia is a specialist team of Clinical Neuropsychologists and Clinical Psychologists. We are headquartered at 10 Harley Street, London, but we work primarily in the community, working with clients and families in their home, their local communities or clinics that are selected based on a client's travel and financial needs.
Our clinicians are all HCPC-registered and bring deep expertise in the complex intersection of cognitive function, emotional well-being, and behaviour.
How We Work: The Holistic Approach
The core of our philosophy is simple: We treat people, not patients.
Traditional rehabilitation can sometimes focus solely on "deficits." At Psychologia, we take a holistic and person-centred approach. This means:
Meeting You Where You Are: We work in clinics, but also in clients' homes and local communities across the UK, as well as via remote sessions.
Involving the System: A brain injury or diagnosis affects the whole family. We work closely with relatives and carers to ensure the support network is as resilient as the individual.
Collaborative Care: We are experts at working within multidisciplinary teams (MDTs), alongside case managers, solicitors, and insurers to ensure a seamless path to recovery.
Our Specialist Services
Our team provides a comprehensive suite of neuro-rehabilitation and psychological services. Our work is grounded in evidence-based practice and tailored to the unique cognitive profile of every individual.
Expert Neuropsychological Assessment
The foundation of any treatment plan is understanding. We conduct in-depth assessments to map out cognitive strengths and weaknesses.
Clinical Interview: We complete a comprehensive interview with a client and any relevant individuals close to them to gain a clear understanding of their experience of change since their brain injury.
Cognitive Testing: Using gold-standard psychometric tools to evaluate memory, attention, executive function, and processing speed.
Diagnostic Clarity: Assessments for Acquired Brain Injury (ABI), Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), and neurodevelopmental conditions like ADHD and Autism.
Adapted Psychological & Talking Therapies
Neurological conditions often come emotional consequences which can be driven by changes in a person's identity, lifestyle and abilities, including anxiety, depression, or PTSD or through changes in the brain that impact a person's ability to manage their emotions in the same way.
We provide specialist talking therapies that are adapted for brain changes, including:
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR)
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
Cognitive & Vocational Rehabilitation
We don't just identify challenges; we help you navigate them.
Cognitive Rehab: Teaching practical strategies and "workarounds" for memory loss, executive dysfunction, and fatigue management.
Vocational Rehab: Supporting clients in their journey back to work or education, including workplace adjustments, skills-to-job matching, and employer liaison.
Mental Capacity (MCA) and Supported Decision-Making
Following a brain change, decision-making can be impacted by cognitive and emotional factors. We support with this by:
Formally assessing capacity for specific decisions (financial, health, or welfare).
Providing supported-decision making interventions to maximise a person's ability to engage in a decision-making process.
Provide consultation and support in best interest decision-making.
Consultation & Training
We provide high-level clinical consultation for complex cases, including:
Clinical Supervision: Providing clinical supervision and case consultation for professionals working with a client or clients who have experienced a brain change.
MDT Support: Collaborating with case managers, solicitors, and family members to ensure a cohesive "system" of care around a client.
Training: Providing bespoke training programmes to support support workers, other MDT professionals, carers and teams, around either specific or general topics that are relevant to a client's care and rehabilitation.
What to Expect from This Blog
In the coming months, this space will become a resource to showcase the services and support that we provide, to share practical advice and education around key topics, explore the latest research in neuropsychology, and share stories of resilience.
Our goal is to foster an environment of communication and teamwork. We are here to celebrate the "everyday victories" and to provide the specialist support needed to optimise quality of life.
